1. What sort of people travel with Socialeyes Travel?

Socialeyes Travel groups consist of a great mix of people: from different countries, different professions, a variety of ages… indeed, people from all walks of life! You can come to us as a solo traveller, as a couple or with a group. We offer a room-sharing option to help you keep your costs down. Socialeyes Travel is open to travellers between the ages of 18 and 79. There will normally be a good mix of ages on each holiday, a factor which makes our groups quite diverse.

2. Flights. What happens if I want to join the holiday from somewhere other than the UK?

For holiday departures from the UK, Socialeyes travellers simply meet the tour manager and the rest of the group at the departure airport. If you prefer, we can also arrange any necessary connection flights to take you from your local airport to the group departure airport, for a ‘best-price’ extra charge. If you’re joining the group from a country other than the UK, there are two options. You can either choose the ‘UK flight package’ option and make your own way to the UK to join the group, or alternatively, you can select the ‘non-UK’ option when purchasing your holiday. With this second option, the price will not include flights and we can then provide you with a competitive quote to fly you from your home airport direct to the holiday destination where you’ll join the Socialeyes group.

3. Can you advise me about other forms of transport to and from the airport?

Yes. We will endeavour to help with any extra travel information/hotel accommodation needs.

4. Do I need to pay a single room supplement?

Most of our travellers opt for the room-sharing option. This involves a maximum of two people, carefully matched, same sex, tactfully and carefully arranged. Contrary to occasional preconceptions of some, this is usually regarded retrospectively by our travellers as having been a major positive contributory factor to the sociability of the whole group holiday experience. However, if room-sharing is not for you, we can offer you a single room, for a supplementary charge.

5. What happens if there’s a problem on the holiday?

There will always be a Socialeyes Travel tour manager on every holiday. They are there to solve any problems which may arise and to answer any questions you may have during the holiday.

6. I have a disability. Can I book?

Yes. The suitability of your chosen holiday will be checked with reference to necessary activity levels. However, if you have additional needs, for health and safety reasons, we may require you to bring someone with you to assist you on the holiday. Please contact us to discuss your individual situation.

10. What is the ATOL charge for?

This is a compulsory charge levied by the Civil Aviation Authority and is included in the price of all holidays which involve air travel. It ensures that your booking is secure in the unlikely event of anything untoward happening to Socialeyes Travel (Traveleyes Group: ATOL registration number: 6600). If such a thing was to occur before your departure date, ATOL would ensure you receive a refund. If it occurred while you’re away on the holiday, ATOL would make provision for your return flight. This levy is currently £2.50 and is added onto your balance at the checkout stage of booking.
