    Day 2: Wednesday 17th June
A full day tour of Malta
What better way to spend your first day here than taking a guided tour around the island? Malta is one of the world's smaller island states, a fact which ensures that most of its features lie within reasonable geographical reach. Our tour explores the old, former capital city of Mdina, a fine example of a European walled city and renowned for its atmospheric blend of historic architecture. Mdina has traditionally been referred to as the 'Silent City' for reasons which, though still debated, are now lost in the mists of time. You may wish to formulate your own interpretation of this epithet as you get to know its unique charms and distinctive character. You will also have the chance to explore the San Anton Gardens in Attard and take a trip to the breathtaking Dingli Cliffs, 200m above sea level. Finally, you can marvel at the UNESCO world heritage site of Ħaġar Qim, a fascinating megalithic temple complex dating from around 2400 to 2000 BC. In the evening we visit one of Sliema's delightful restaurants to relax and reflect upon the day's events over a fine meal.

    Day 4: Friday 19th June
A full day tour to the neighbouring island of Gozo.
Gozo (the Castilian word for 'joy') is an island situated some 5 km off the coast of mainland Malta. Though one of the Maltese group of islands, Gozo has a relaxed way of life all its own and you'll have every opportunity to experience these distinctive qualities. We take a guided tour around the island, visiting the charming fishing village of Xlendi and Gozo's lovely capital, Victoria, as well as the ancient hilltop village of Xaghra and the Ggantija Temples, the oldest free standing structures in the world.
    Breakfast Included. Overnight in Sliema

    Day 5: Saturday 20th June
A free day to relax and explore or an optional full day boat cruise to Comino.
Today you are free to continue soaking up the sun and sights of Sliema, or you might opt to take to the sea on a boat cruise to Comino and the beautiful tranquillity of the fabled Blue Lagoon.

Situated between Malta and Gozo, the tiny island of Comino at first appears to be little more than a rocky outcrop, but further inspection reveals the island to be an unspoilt natural paradise surrounded by crystal clear Blue Lagoon waters. A buffet lunch is provided on board our boat enabling you to spend an unforgettable day enjoying the remote sandy beach, swimming in the sea and basking in the sunshine.
    Breakfast Included. Overnight in Sliema

    Day 6: Sunday 21st June
A free day to relax and explore or an optional half day tour of Valletta.
You may choose to visit Valetta, the island's capital. The tour will visit the beautiful and lofty Upper Barakka Gardens, boasting a panoramic view of the grand harbour and the dockyards. You will also have the chance to explore the ancient St. John's Cathedral before a fascinating visit to the Grandmaster's Palace State Rooms, completed in 1574. For a taste of stylish shopping, why not visit cosmopolitan Republic Street, or for a more traditional shopping experience, you may prefer a stroll down Merchant's Street, home of Valetta's traditional market, for a rewarding rummage and browse through the bric-a-brac of genuine Maltese curios, souvenirs and delicacies.
    Breakfast Included. Overnight in Sliema

    Day 7: Monday 22nd June
A free day to relax and explore.
Why not venture further along the coastline to the neighbouring resort of St Julian's? Once a modest fishing village, this has now become a much loved holiday location. Having lost none of its original charm, this port still bustles to the pace and life-style of the local fisher folk whose boats lie picturesquely moored in the surrounding Bay of Spinola. Visitors to St Julian's should not miss paying a visit to Spinola Palace and its wonderful gardens. Built in 1688 by order of Fra Paolo Raffaele Spinola, the Palace architecture is spectacular and the gardens provide a beautifully multi sensory afternoon stroll.
The proud, ancient, island nation of Malta has won the hearts of world travellers for centuries. You will not be the first and you certainly won't be the last to fall for its many charms.
